Heeee-eeeey!!
So, this is the part of the site where both Mr Webmonkey-guy Jim/PsyK
and I thank the people who have, where I’m concerned, given inspiration
and also for Jim’s part, people who have contributed in some way to
the web-creation….
SPiKE:
Well,
I’ve been doing artwork all my life, my styles progressing year by year,
so basically this site is an accumulation of the majority of styles
and techniques I’ve used on my work over that time. And so, seeing as
this website is here, I’d like to use it to thank all the people who
have, in some way or another, inspired and influenced me, whether they
are people I know and love or artists I truly admire and have great
respect for in what they do. Here goes then….
Firstly, I’d like to thank God…. No wait a minute, I wouldn’t. Sorry,
I thought it was obligatory to thank that God guy on things like this,
I must have been thinking of awards ceremonies…. Firstly, big thanks
to my family, for constantly believing in me and my ‘talent’ and always
making me see that one day I’ll make it big, especially my Nan who has
always said she has big hopes for me.
Second on my biiiig list of thankyous
is a big ‘shout out’ (word!) to my friends, obviously me best mate Jim
being one of them who has set up this site for me in the first place!
Thanks, you fat git! Hehe…. Anyhoo, my other mates, namely the close-knit
group that formed at college were a big inspiration to me, both artistically
and also inspiration for characters (and believe me, they certainly
are characters!!). These people are my (other) best mate Kelly Clarke
(what, I can’t have 2 best friends? Well, one’s a bloke and the others
a girl, it’s only fair :D), Gemma Morison, Becki Copeland and
two I haven’t seen since college, Mark ‘Sparky’ Patten and Hide (Hidekazu)….
As well as my friends at college, I’d also like to thank the tutors
themselves, they were a great bunch really, even Richard Smyth in the
end (“How dark is dark?”) and, even though it’s their job, I really
learned a lot from them. I also learned a lot from uni as well artistically
and that’s where I concentrated even more on my already relatively good
computer-generated artwork.
