So, now onto the artists who have given me a reason to strive harder with my work so as to maybe someday reach their great status and whose work quite often leaves me gasping (yes, gasp!)…. Firstly, starting off with the ‘old-style’ artists (by that I mean they’re dead!) are Salvador Dali and Max Ernst, both well-known Surrealist artists. I’ve been interested in Salvador Dali’s work for many years and I discovered Max Ernst while doing research for a project I chose on him randomly at college (how could I not have heard of him before?!). I love the Surrealism Movement, after reading a lot about it, it draws (forgive the pun) on aspects of the subconscious mind, such as dreams and so on, and that works really well for me considering my random and often disturbing ideas I have. Many of these thoughts have indeed come from my dreams, and I always feel they should be put onto paper straight away. Continuing from Surrealism I come to my next artist I wanna thank, the infamous H. R. Giger. Like the majority of people, I first came upon his work after seeing the ‘ALiEN’ film and from then on I’ve been continually interested in his work and the way he approaches it. Some of my artwork occasionally shows how that influence from him as affected me, my 'Cables' picture for example.

Of all the artists I have great respect and admiration for, the most recent one (over the past 4 years or so) is the great Ashley Wood. The stuff by him I first encountered was on the ‘Spawn’ spin-off comic, ‘Hellspawn’. This appealed to me on a whole new scale compared to the original Spawn artwork (although the original is obviously a pure classic anyway, and nuff respec’ goes out to Todd McFarlane) because of it’s exceedingly darker atmosphere and feel to it. The artwork was what made me pick it up in the first place, and ever since I’ve been a big fan (and I’m sure I’ve seen his artwork before Hellspawn, but that’s hardly surprising considering how much work he’s done for different companies, etc).

Well, anyhoo, that’s it from me I think, there’s far too much writing here so I won’t say much more, except I’d just like to once again thank everyone I’ve mentioned (and any more I’ve neglected to put here, sorry, but I didn’t do it on purpose)…. When/if I make it ‘big’, all your names will surely be in the credits somewhere……….

PsyK:
Well, if you've read through that lot, and quite frankly I'll be amazed if anyone has, then chances are you'll be bored so I'll keep my bit short. I've not been doing this very long so there's not a lot of people who've helped. The main person has been my mate John who's offered loads of help and advice on all sorts of stuff. Here's a plug for his website which is ace. The only other people I really need to thank are the guys at Dynamic Drive for the use of their lovely scripts, and of course Keen for their web space. Told you it'd be short, now go look at the artwork, that's what you're here for after all.
oN THE oTHER SiDE oF MADNESS.... is hosted on, Keenspace a quaint little village where free webhosting and webcomic site automation is available for all.... meh, God told me to say it....
